ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.)

The present writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate legal action as against the respondents 5 to 7 for the illegal act of quarrying the sand in the patta lands in Survey Nos. 9/3, 6, 7 of Keelathari Village, Sivagangai District and Kothalakungudi Kanmai of Keelathari Village, Sivagangai District by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 11.02.2026.

2. According to the petitioner, there is no permission obtained from the concerned authorities for quarrying the sand. However, the illegal quarrying is happening and the same has not been stopped by the authorities. Further, the illegal quarrying activity is affecting the water resources. Hence, he filed this writ petition.

3. Considering the issues raised by the petitioner, the respondents

1 and 3 are directed to visit the place where the alleged illegal quarrying activity is undertaken and take necessary action as per law if the illegal quarry is running. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
