PRAYER: The criminal original petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS to direct the respondent to complete the Investigation in Cr.No.480/2023 on the file of 2nd respondent and file the final report within a stipulated time prescribed by this Honble Court.

ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the Investigation in Cr.No.480/2023 on the file of 2nd respondent and file the final report within a stipulated time.
2.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the case is in illegal possession of 4.5 kg of Ganja and in this case, investigation is at final stage and awaiting Chemical analysis report from Assistant Director, Salem and the respondent Police will be able to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of three months.
3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the Assistant Director, Salem, to give priority and sent the report expeditiously to the respondent police. On receipt of the same, the respondent Police shall complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.480 of 2023 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
