ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking for a direction to the 5th respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to the writ petition, based on the petitioner’s representations dated 10.12.2024, 05.12.2025 and 12.01.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that he has been in possession of the forest land for 83 years. He also claims that he belongs to the Scheduled Caste community. He claims that he is entitled for issuance of patta for the said property. The petitioner had given representations on 10.12.2024, 05.12.2025 and 12.01.2026 to the respondents, requesting them to issue patta in his favour. Since the said representations have not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr. R. P. Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 3 to 5. Mr. T. Seenivasan, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the 2^nd respondent.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representations, as stated supra, are directed to be considered on merits and in accordance with law by the official respondents, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representations.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the 5th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representations dated 10.12.2024, 05.12.2025 and 12.01.2026, seeking for issuance of patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, in his name, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
