Mr.A. Oli Raja, Government Advocate PRAYER :Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to issue instruction to 3rd Respondent to issue patta in petitioner's name as per the registered sale deeds executed in the name of petitioner in Survey No. 2891 Extend of 20.25 Square Feet and Survey No. 2654 Extent of 312 Square Feet by registered sale deed No 3365/2003 dated 10-09-2003 and Survey No. 2654 Extend of 153 Square Feet by registered sale deed No 5137/2006 dated 22-11-2006, as per the representation given on 13-01-2026 and 14-02-2026 to Respondents by petitioner and forwarded petitioner's representation by 1st Respondent to 3rd Respondent on 05-02-2026.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to issue instruction to 3rd Respondent to issue patta in petitioner's name as per the registered sale deeds executed in the name of petitioner in Survey No. 2891 Extend of 20.25 Square Feet and Survey No. 2654 Extend of 312 Square Feet by registered sale deed No 3365/2003 dated 10-09-2003 and Survey No. 2654 Extend of 153 Square Feet by registered sale deed No 5137/2006 dated 22-11-2006, as per the representation given on 13-01-2026 and 14-02-2026 to Respondents by petitioner and forwarded petitioner's representation by 1st Respondent to 3rd Respondent on 05-02-2026.

2. The petitioner purchased property in S.No.2891 to an extent of 20.25 sq. ft. and in S.No.2654 to an extent of 312 sq. ft. by a registered Sale Deed No.3365/2003 dated 10.09.2003. The petitioner further purchased an extent of 153 sq. ft. by a registered Sale Deed No.5137/2006 dated 22.11.2006.

3. Now, the petitioner seeks issuance of patta in his name based on the registered sale deeds. The 3rd respondent is the competent authority to consider the same and issue patta. The respondent shall ascertain whether there is any rival claim. In the event of any rival claim, the respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner as well as the rival claimant and thereafter pass appropriate orders. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
