PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent, to permit the petitioner to quarry and transport the quarried minerals on payment of necessary seigniorage from the petitioners Patta lands totally measuring 4.37.5 Hectares, situated in Sirumailur village, comprised in Survey Nos 3/1A, 3/1B, 3/2, 5/2 and Sithalapakkam village Comprised in Survey Nos. 86/1, 86/2 87/1(P) of uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and to continue quarry operations for a period of one year and six months from the date of expiry of lease period mentioned in the lease agreement i.,e from 07.03.2026 or from the date of permitting the quarry operations.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent, to permit the petitioner to quarry and transport the quarried minerals on payment of necessary seigniorage from the petitioners Patta lands totally measuring 4.37.5 Hectares, situated in Sirumailur village, comprised in Survey Nos 3/1A, 3/1B, 3/2, 5/2 and Sithalapakkam village Comprised in Survey Nos. 86/1, 86/2

87/1(P) of Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and to continue quarry operations for a period of one year and six months from the date of expiry of lease period mentioned in the lease agreement i.,e from 07.03.2026 or from the date of permitting the quarry operations.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
