ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 2^nd respondent to pass orders on the petitioner’s representation with regard to promotion to the post of Assistant by considering the petitioner’s representation dated

08.08.2025.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was appointed as a Typist on

07.05.2021. Thereafter, he was temporarily promoted as Senior Revenue Temporary Assistant vide proceedings dated 06.01.2025. Subsequently, by proceedings dated 21.04.2025, he was reverted to the post of Typist.

3. It is further stated that the petitioner is entitled to be promoted to the post of Assistant based on the panel prepared by the 5^th respondent and in accordance with his seniority as on the date of appointment. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 08.08.2025 seeking promotion to the post of Assistant. However, the said representation is still pending consideration before the 2^nd respondent and no orders have been passed so far.

Hence this writ petition.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued by this Court to the 2^nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 08.08.2025 in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Heard both sides.

6. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the present writ petition and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the 2^nd respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 08.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
