Headnote:In this case concerning the quashing of an FIR (Crime No.512/2021), the petitioners, represented by Advocate M/s.Syed Alim.H, sought redress against an FIR dated 07.10.2021. Upon consideration, the court observed that the investigation was complete and a final report submitted to the Judicial Magistrate, allowing the option for the petitioners to seek further investigation if unsatisfied. The court ultimately closed the proceedings with an order for the Magistrate to proceed with the case.

ORDER

The petitioners seek for quash of the FIR in Crime No.512 of 2021 on the file of the first respondent.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, would submit that the investigation has been completed and a final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Melur, in C.C.No.

553 of 2023.

3. In view of the above, the Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Melur, is also directed to take the case on file forthwith. This Criminal Original Petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the final report, by filing a petition seeking further investigation under Section 173(8) Cr.P.C., / 193 (9) BNSS, 2023, if not satisfied by the manner in which final report is filed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
