Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to pass orders for granting approval of appointment of the petitioner in the sanctioned post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the 4th respondent school from the date of appointment with effect from 06.03.2019 by considering the resubmitted proposal by the petitioner dated 24.12.2025 with all consequential and other attendant benefits, including payment of arrears of salary from the date of appointment.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 2^nd & 3^rd respondents to pass orders for granting approval of appointment of the petitioner in the sanctioned post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the 4^th respondent school from the date of appointment with effect from 06.03.2019 by considering the resubmitted proposal by the petitioner dated 24.12.2025 with all consequential and other attendant benefits, including payment of arrears of salary from the date of appointment.

2. With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that petitioner was appointed to the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in the 4^th respondent School by the resolution of the Board of the Arcot Lutheran Church dated 04.03.2019 with effect from 06.03.2019 and she was appointed as Secondary Grade Teacher in the sanctioned post as per staff fixation by the proceedings of the 4^th respondent. Thereafter, the 4^th respondent School has forwarded proposal dated 06.03.2019 to the 3^rd respondent seeking for approval of the petitioner’s appointment in the post of Secondary Grade Teacher subsequently, the petition representation to the 3^rd respondent seeking for approval. Thereafter, the proposal sent by the 4^th respondent was returned for rectification and the same was rectified and submitted on 20.11.2025. Subsequently, the petitioner also sent a representation on 24.12.2025. Since no order was passed, the present writ petition is filed.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner’s representation dated 24.12.2025 within a stipulated time.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the respondent will consider the petitioner’s representation and pass appropriate orders on the same within a specified time.

5. In view of the above, there will be a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 24.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above terms. No costs.
