ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking to transfer the investigation of the case in Cr.No.222/2025 on the file of the 3^rd to 4^th respondent or any other competent investigation agency to complete the investigation.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is the de facto complainant, on whose instance an FIR in Crime No. 222 of 2095 was registered on 17.08.2025 by the 3^rd respondent for the offence under Section 194 of BNSS 2023 for the suspicious death of the petitioner's husband. However, there is no progress in the investigation and hence this petition came to be filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that, as per the FIR, the petitioner's husband had borrowed money from various individuals, which led to quarrels within the family. The petitioner's husband consumed poison and died. Though the investigation reveals that that cause of death is due to consumption of poison by the deceased, the investigation is not yet over.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the fourth respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the second respondent to monitor the investigation conducted by the third respondent. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to appraise the progress of the investigation to the second respondent every Friday. The respondent police are also directed to take the petitioner's detailed representation, dated 12.12.2025, into account and consider the same before concluding the investigation.
