ORDER
The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that, despite requesting the respondent to register the association by name “Thamilaga Vivasaigal Vazhvurimai Sangam” as early as on 21.06.2024 itself through the petitioner’s application, till date, the said association has not been registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act.
2. As seen from the documents filed along with this writ petition, the respondent has also not afforded any opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. The respondent has also not passed any order, refusing to register the association.
3. Necessarily, the respondent will have to hear the petitioner and pass final orders on the petitioner’s application dated 21.06.2024, seeking for registration of “Thamilaga Vivasaigal Vazhvurimai Sangam” as a registered association under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner on the petitioner’s application dated 21.06.2024, seeking for registration of “Thamilaga Vivasaigal Vazhvurimai Sangam” as a registered association under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act and thereafter, after giving due consideration to the petitioner’s contentions, shall take a final decision as to whether the association can be registered or not. If the respondent decides to refuse the registration, shall pass a speaking order after giving due consideration to the contentions of the petitioner. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
