O R D E R

Heard Mr.P.M.Vishnuvarthanan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.N.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first, second and fourth to sixth respondents and Mr.G.Karthick, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent.

2. The petitioner herein, having served as a Malayalam Teacher in the sixth respondent school, retired from service on 30.06.2005 and has been in receipt of pension. However, thereafter, the petitioner made a claim for revision of pension by duly taking into consideration the 3 years and 22 days of service rendered by him in the Social Welfare Department as a Youth Service Corps Volunteer. Since the said request of the petitioner is pending at one stage, the petitioner approached this Court by filing this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the second and third respondents to forward the revised pension proposal to the third respondent for processing the same.

3. This matter earlier came up for consideration on 06.03.2026 and the same was adjourned to enable the learned counsel for the respondents to get instructions in this regard.

Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first, second and fourth to sixth respondents brought to the notice of this Court that the revised proposal submitted by the sixth respondent has been returned to the sixth respondent for submission of relevant documents so as to consider the request of the petitioner for revision of his pension through the proceedings in Oo.Mu.No.1261/A2/2025 dated 16.12.2025. He further submitted that in case the required documents are produced by the petitioner before the sixth respondent and the proposal is resubmitted by the sixth respondent, the same would be considered by the other respondents and appropriate orders would be passed.

In the light of the above, with the consent of all the parties, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself, permitting the petitioner to approach the sixth respondent and produce all the relevant documents as required by the fifth respondent through the proceedings dated 16.12.2025. In case the petitioner submits all such documents, the sixth respondent shall immediately forward the proposal to the fifth respondent. The fifth respondent thereafter shall take all necessary steps for passing appropriate orders on the request made by the petitioner for revision of pension, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three months from the date of submission of the proposal by the sixth respondent. Taking into consideration the advanced age of the petitioner, all the respondents are directed to process the proposal by avoiding undue delay. No costs.
