This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.7 of 2024 on the file of the first respondent police, for the offences punishable under Sections 5(j)(ii), 5(l) and 6 of the POCSO Act, 2012 r/w. Section 9 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, on the ground of compromise.
