S.Sellapillai ... Respondent in both Crl.R.Cs This case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. Mr.T.Dhasarathan, the learned counsel for the Appellant and Mr.Anbarasan, learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both the parties and their respective counsel are present.

2. The parties have settled the matter amicably. Their identities are verified based on their Aadhar Cards.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that as directed by this Court they have deposited a sum of Rs.75,000/- in respect of Crl.R.C.No.769 of 2024 and a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- in respect of Crl.R.C.No.770 of 2024 before the trial Court and they have no objection for the same to be withdrawn by the complainant.

4. As the parties have mutually agreed for the above settlement in full quit, the same is recorded and the trial Court is directed to disburse the above deposited amount to the complainant after due verification within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The trial Court is directed to follow the usual mode of payment on proper identification of the party concerned in accordance with the terms of the award without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Criminal Revisions are closed accordingly. In view of the settlement between the parties the conviction order by the trial Court is set aside in terms of Section 320 Cr.P.C.
