Versus
Mr.B.Murugesh, I.A.S., The Director of Agriculture – Respondent
Cont P(MD)No.859 of 2026 | W.P.(MD)No.35428 of 2025

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Mr.T.Aswin Raja Simman
For the Respondents: Mr.G.V.Vairam Santhosh, Additional Government Pleader, Mr.J.Anand Kumar, Standing Counsel

Compliance with court order averts contempt; petition closed upon proof of implementation.

Headnote:The petition under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, alleges wilful disobedience of the court's order dated 10.12.2025 in the writ petition concerning seniority and pay scale revision. Essential facts include non-compliance claim post-writ order directing revisions. The court noted submission of compliance evidence via proceedings dated 13.03.2026 and 24.03.2026. The sole issue framed is whether the writ order dated 10.12.2025 has been complied with. The court's reasoning accepts the Additional Government Pleader's submission confirming compliance through seniority revision and pay refixation proceedings, furnished to petitioner's counsel. The Contempt Petition is closed.
