ORDER
Challenging the impugned order dated 18.02.2026 passed in M.P No.2 of
2026 in RLTOP No.2 of 2025 on the file of the District Munsif, Ponneri, the tenant has preferred this revision.
2. The tenant has filed an application before the trial court to cross-
examine the applicant in RLTOP No.2 of 2025 and the same was allowed by the learned trial judge by granting permission to the tenant to cross examine the landlord. Aggrieved over the same, the present revision is filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that under the new Act viz, Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017, the tenant is not entitled to seek permission for cross examining the landlord, unless the court permits.
