ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This petition has been filed for a direction, directing to consider the representation dated 16.02.2026 and further direct the 3rd and 4th respondents to permit the petitioner to appear for the 7th Semester Examination and continue the course as per the original schedule

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a law college student in the fourth respondent college. The petitioner gave birth to child in the month of June 2025. Due to medical conditions and the maternity complication, the petitioner was not able to attend the classes in the college, thereby, she is not able to secure required attendance and been barred from appearing for the 5^th semester examination and was further directed to redo the entire 5^th semester. The petitioner made a representation on 16.02.2026 to the third respondent, which is pending without consideration. Hence, this writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that if there is a shortage of attendance above 60%, then the head of institution is empowered to condone the absence for valid reasons, however, if the shortage of attendance is less than 60%, then the third respondent alone is empowered to condone the delay. Hence, seeks for directions.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after perusing all the medical records as a special case within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

7. Accordingly, this writ petitions stands disposed of. No costs.
