ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 12.08.2025 made in I.A.No.3 of 2023 in I.A.No.2 of 2022 in O.S.No.269 of 2010 on the file of the II Additional District Munsif Court, Tiruchirappalli, whereby, the petitioners were directed to pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- to the respondent while allowing the application filed by the petitioners in I.A.No.3 of 2023.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners prays this Court that the petitioners may be granted one week time to comply with the order passed by the Court below, dated 01.08.2025.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and since no adverse order is going to be passed against the respondent, notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

4.It is seen that the Court below had directed the petitioners/plaintiffs to pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- to the respondent/defendant within the stipulated time. However, challenging the said order, the petitioners have approached this Court by way of filing the present Civil Revision Petition and now, they seek extension of time to comply with the said direction.

5.Considering the submissions made and taking into account the nature of the order as well as the quantum involved, this Court is inclined to grant a short extension in the interest of justice. At the same time, it is made clear that such indulgence cannot be granted as a matter of course.

6.Accordingly, the time for compliance of the order of the Court below is extended by a further period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners shall pay a sum of Rs.1,000/- to the respondent/defendant within the said extended period, failing which, the order passed by the Court below shall stand revived and operate in accordance with law.

7.With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
