This writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks a direction to the respondents to decide the representation dated 05.02.2026 seeking permission for erecting 3 nos. of hoardings as per application in the premises of the petitioner situated at No.137/148, Nelson Manickam Road, Metha Nagar, Chennai-600 029.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in compliance of the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, as per the demand, the rent/damage fees, etc. have already been paid to the Department and thereafter, as per the direction, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 05.02.2026, on which, the competent authority has not passed any order and therefore, prays that the competent authority may be directed to consider the same as expeditiously as possible.
3. Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the application/representation of the petitioner shall be considered by the competent authority in accordance with law.
4. In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the competent authority to take a call on the representation dated 05.02.2026 of the petitioner in accordance with law, and pass a reasoned and speaking order as expeditiously as possible, after giving an opportunity of hearing to all concerned. We have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
Petition is disposed of, with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
