ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the second respondent to allot a plot to an extent of 2 cents under free patta issuance scheme to the Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes in survey number 253/7 an extent of 1.04 Acre (0.42.0 Hectare) situated at North Andakudi Village which has already been acquired by the Government of Tamil Nadu through second respondent, based on the petitioner's representation submitted to the first respondent dated 09.03.2026.
2. Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.
3. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on written instructions, submitted that the petitioner’s claim has been considered and that the petitioner is placed at Serial No. 189. It was further submitted that the petitioner’s representation is under consideration by the respondents and that the same will be considered as and when the petitioner’s turn arises based on priority.
5. Recording the same, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 09.03.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible.
6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
