O R D E R
The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint him in an available vacancy in terms of the bond executed by him.
2. The petitioner, while pursuing his M.D.S. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, executed a bond undertaking that, upon completion of the postgraduate degree, he would serve the State Government for a maximum period of two years, during which time his original certificates could be retained. The petitioner completed his postgraduate degree in December 2025 and thereafter submitted a representation dated 20.03.2026 requesting the respondents to provide employment in terms of the bond executed by him. The grievance of the petitioner is that, till date, no posting has been provided by the State Government, thereby preventing him from fulfilling the obligation undertaken in the bond.
3. Mr. N. Ramesh Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner’s representation will be considered in accordance with law within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court. The said submission is placed on record.
4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 20.03.2026 and issue appropriate posting orders, in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
