CRL OP(MD).No.6419 of 2026 | Crime No.1011 of 2024

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Mr.V.Vishnu
For the Respondents:Mr.A.Albert James Government Advocate (Crl.side)

Petition closed as final report already filed, petitioner directed to pursue other remedies.

Headnote:First Paragraph: The petition was filed under Section 528 of BNSS seeking directions to complete investigation in Crime No.1011 of 2024 and file a final report within a stipulated time frame. Essential facts include the de facto complainant approaching the High Court after delay in filing the report. The court noted that the final report had already been filed on 09.01.2026 before the Judicial Magistrate No. II, Madurai, dropping action against the petitioner. Second Paragraph: The key issue was whether directions were needed for filing the final report given the submission that it was already filed. The court's reasoning focused on the Government Advocate's statement confirming the filing and the petitioner's non-receipt of RCS notice, rendering the petition infructuous. Last Paragraph: In view of the above said facts, this Criminal original Petition stands closed.
