Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to renewal society namely the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Thanjavur in Registration No. 32/1973 on based petitioners Representation dated 09.03.2026 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is seeking for mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to renew the petitioner's society bearing Registration No.32/1973. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 09.03.2026 to renew the registration of the society. The registration of the petitioner's society was not renewed from time to time on account of lapse of the office bearers of the society. Therefore, the petitioner seeks renewal of the registration of the society under the scheme invoked. The petitioner's grievance is that the said representation for renewal of the registration of the society has not been considered as on today.
3.Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on receiving instructions submitted that on payment of statutory dues, the petitioner's request for renewal of registration of the society will be considered.
4. The said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader is taken on record.
5. The respondents 1 and 2 are hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.03.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two(2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
