For the Respondents: Mr.S.Shaji Bino, Mr.N.Satheesh Kumar

Mandamus for interview consideration unavailable after recruitment process and appointment concluded.

Headnote:The petitioner filed a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution seeking a mandamus to direct consideration of her application under Notification No.2 of 2026 dated 03.01.2026, call for interview, and evaluate candidature lawfully. The court noted the recruitment process concluded with appointment via proceedings dated 27.02.2026. The court determined the relief could not be granted as the process was complete. The issue was whether mandamus could issue post-recruitment completion. The ratio decidendi holds that writ relief for interview call is unavailable after final appointment. Writ petition dismissed, liberty granted to challenge appointment proceedings; no costs.
