ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to forthwith provide Water and Sewerage connection to the property situate at No.38/45, Ramamurthy Street, Ramapuram, Ambattur, Chennai-600 053.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that he has made application dated 05.12.2022 for water and sewerage connection for the subject property. Since the same was not considered, the learned counsel would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider and pass appropriate orders on the application dated 05.12.2022. 3. In reply, the learned counsel appearing for the official respondents would submit that the petitioner’s application dated 05.12.2022 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of twelve weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents and also perused the materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the concerned respondent to consider the petitioner’s application dated 05.12.2022 and pass appropriate orders and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the private respondents.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
