ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to allot a plot to an extent of 2 cents under free patta issuance scheme to the Scheduled Caste in Survey No. 253/7 an extent of 1.04 Acre (0.42.0 Hectare), based on the petitioner's representation submitted to the first respondent dated 17.11.2025.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is residing in a nearby survey number and, therefore, he is seeking issuance of patta for the land in Survey No. 253/7. This Court cannot grant a positive direction to issue patta, since the same is coming under the free patta issuance scheme for Scheduled Castes. The petitioner would be entitled if he is coming within the conditions prescribed under the said scheme.
3. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation. If the petitioner falls within the conditions prescribed under the free patta issuance scheme, the same may be considered by the first respondent. The petitioner shall provide all necessary particulars to the respondents. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
