ORDER

The petitioner has applied for the post of ECG Technician, pursuant to the Notification dated 01.08.2023, issued by the Medical Services Recruitment Board. He also appeared before the 1st respondent for certificate verification on 12.02.2024, however, his name was not found in the provisional selection list. The petitioner stated that the candidates, who have been selected, have not joined the service and therefore, he may be accommodated in the available vacancies. In this regard, he has also submitted a representation on 17.12.2025 before the respondents and has also filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the Medical Services Recruitment Board to consider his case for the vacancies, where the selected candidates have not joined the service.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, referring to the information provided under the RTI, submitted that one Ushenbabu, who was selected for the post of ECG Technician, has not joined the service and the petitioner is next in line on reserve list after Ushenbabu.

However, the petitioner has not been accommodated.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent submits that the petitioner is in the reserve list and his name will be forwarded only after the Government makes a proposal regarding the vacancies for which the selected candidates have not joined the post of ECG Technician, as per the Notification dated 01.08.2023.

Having considered the rival submissions on either side, this Court directs the second respondent to ascertain whether any selected candidates for the post of ECG Technician have not joined the service and thereafter, send the necessary proposal to the Medical Services Recruitment Board within a period four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Medical Services Recruitment Board is also directed to verify the petitioner’s serial number on the reserve list and recommend his name for appointment, if he is otherwise eligible, as and when the proposal is received from the second respondent.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
