The prayer of the petitioner, who is a convict prisoner presently lodged in Central Prison – 1, Puzhal, is for ordinary leave for himself.
2. On instructions, Mr.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, assisted by Mr.M.Sylvester John, learned counsel would submit that the representation dated 07.03.2026 seeking leave has been received and is under active consideration. He would request that the petitioner be directed to furnish such evidence as may be necessary, including medical reports, to enable expeditious processing of the representation.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner is so directed to ensure that the petitioner cooperates in the furnishing of required documents to the respondents.
4. With this, as the mandamus stands achieved, this Writ Petition is closed. Let representation dated 07.03.2026 be disposed within a period of one (1) week from date of furnishing of required documents.
