This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned proceedings of the third respondent made in No.337/Thaku. 2026, dated 08.02.2026 and for a consequential direction to the respondents to transfer the detenu, who is the petitioner's husband from Central Prison, Trichy to Central Prison, Madurai, based on the representation made by the petitioner on 30.01.2026.
2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband is a life convict, who is undergoing sentence presently at Central Prison, Trichy. Earlier, the petitioner's husband was lodged at Central Prison, Madurai from 04.02.2014 and all of a sudden, the convict was shifted to Central Prison, Trichy.
3. The further case of the petitioner is that the detenu's mother is aged about 70 years and she is suffering from old age ailments and taking treatment in the Government hospital. In view of the transfer of the detenu to the Central Prison, Trichy, he is not able to meet his mothe
