O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent to issue a separate patta to petitioner's name in respect of petitioner's agricultural land in Survey No.268/3C total extent 42 Ares (1 acre 4 cents) out of 50 cents in joint patta No.2165 situated at Vikkiramangalam Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, based on petitioner's sale deed Doc.No.1694 of 2005 dated 15.11.2005 and petitioner's application No.2025/0105/24 dated 03.11.2025 within a specific period as fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner purchased the property through a sale deed registered as Doc. No. 1694 of 2005, dated 15.11.2005. The petitioner subsequently filed an online application (No. 2025/0105/24) on 03.11.2025, after paying the requisite charges. However, the revenue officials failed to conduct a survey of the property. Consequently, the petitioner filed a writ petition in W.P.(MD) No. 33436 of 2025, pursuant to which the respondents conducted the survey but did not issue a separate patta.

3. Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to conduct an enquiry after issuing notice to the petitioner and the other joint pattadars. Upon completion of the enquiry, the respondent shall issue separate patta in accordance with the sale deed and the survey conducted. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With these directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
