Temple authorities diligently removed encroachment after survey, fulfilling statutory duties under Puducherry Act; petition disposed as issue moot.

Headnote:The petitioner sought a writ of mandamus directing authorities to survey temple lands in Survey Nos. 179 and 180 and remove encroachments under the Puducherry Hindu Religious Institutions Act, 1972. The respondents filed a counter affidavit stating that a survey was conducted, the encroachment was physically removed on 06.04.2026, and the land was reused productively by the temple, fulfilling statutory obligations under Sections 3A and 25.
