The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents 2 & 3 herein to remove the encroachment made by the private respondents.

2.We have heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is the specific case of the petitioner that the respondents 4 & 5 are husband and wife. The subject of the writ petition is encroached by the respondents 4 & 5. The said street is a public street running East West measuring 20 feet wide. The said street was formed before 50 years and at the time of the formation of the street the residents on the both sides of the street gifted 10 feet of the land for street to the Melamadai Panchayat and thus 20 feet side college street was formed. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a petition before the Chief Minister Cell dated 04.11.2024. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.
