ORDER
The writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned order dated 28.04.2023 passed by the first respondent and consequently seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to disburse a sum of Rs.4,50,000/- deposited by the petitioner’s father in Savings Bank Account No.2839515731.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the said account was jointly opened by his father, Ramasamy, and his mother, Anna Lakshmi, and that the said amount was deposited therein. Anna Lakshmi died on 18.11.2010, and the petitioner’s father died on 06.06.2020. Based on the death certificates and the legal heirship certificate, the petitioner claims to be the sole surviving legal heir, being the son of the deceased.
3. It is further stated that the third respondent, namely, Veeralakshmi, attempted to withdraw the said amount by making a false claim, which led the petitioner to lodge a police complaint.
