Mandamus directing authorities to consider bunk shop allotment representation of physically challenged person on merits within time frame.

Order

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to allot a bunk shop to the petitioner at Mudichur Road, Tambaram, based on the representation of the petitioner dated 28.03.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, she is a physically challenged person. She had made a representation on 28.03.2026 to the respondents requesting them to allot a bunk shop at Mudichur Road, Tambaram. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed writ petition.

3.Mr.M.Shahjahan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s representation, as stated supra, is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s representation.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 28.03.2026 seeking for allotment of a bunk shop at Mudichur Road, Tambaram, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
