For the Appellants/Petitioners: Mr.S.T.Varadarajulu
For the Respondents: Mr.T.Chandrasekar
Compliance with court order averts contempt punishment upon submission of evidence.
Headnote:The petitioner invoked Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act alleging wilful disobedience of the court's order dated 17.04.2025 in W.P. No. 33484 of 2019. Essential facts involved the respondent's alleged non-compliance with prior directions. The court noted submission of compliance evidence dated 30.03.2026. The sole issue was whether the respondent had wilfully disobeyed the prior order. The court accepted the respondent's counsel's statement confirming compliance, finding no contempt established. The contempt petition stands closed with no order as to costs.
