O R D E R
The petitioner is before this Court seeking for a direction to the respondent to rectify the date of birth of the petitioner in passport S9940591 as 30.06.1994 instead of 30.08.1994 and reissue passport. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.02.2026.
2. Ms.S.Mahalakshmi, learned Central Government Standing Counsel for the respondent submitted that the date of birth mentioned in the passport is as per the date of birth mentioned in the birth certificate and unless the birth certificate is rectified, the petitioner's request cannot be considered.
3. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has issued guidelines/circulars prescribing the documents that may be produced for issuance or correction of passport particulars. As per the said guidelines, documents such as Aadhaar Card, Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC),
