PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 12.2.2026 of the petitioner for his promotion of chief surveyor in the interest of justice.

ORDER

The petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated 12.2.2026 of the petitioner for his promotion of chief surveyor.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was appointed to the post of Draftsman in Coimbatore District on 04.10.2017 and presently, working as Surveyor in Krishnagiri District. The petitioner’s original educational and community certificates were verified and he is eligible for promotion. While so, his juniors have been granted promotions for which he is eligible and entitled.

3. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation dated 12.02.2026 before the respondents, for which, there is no response till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2026, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
