ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus thereby directing the respondents to grant permission and protection to conduct temple festival which commences from Kavadi Yeduthal on 08.05.2026 and Kida Vettuthal on 09.05.2026 on the eve of Arulmigu Piramar Temple situated at Thoppanayackam Village, Orthanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District, pursuant to the representation dated 08.04.2026 through register post and served on them.

2. The learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner's representation would be duly considered.

3. Heard either sides and carefully perused the materials available on record.

4. The respondent police is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2026 and pass necessary orders on or before 06.05.2026, facilitating the petitioner from conducting Kavadi Yeduthal and Kidavettuthal on 08.05.2026 and 09.05.2026 respectively, on the eve of Arulmigu Piramar Temple situated at Thoppanayackam Village, Orthanadu Taluk, Thanjavur District.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
