Court records assurance of compliance with temple festival guidelines, grants liberty for remedy on violation.

Headnote:The petitioner sought a writ of mandamus directing respondents to ensure safety and smooth conduct of car festivals at specified temples by adhering to guidelines in G.O.Ms.No.413 dated 06.12.2012 and considering representations dated 16.02.2026 and 24.04.2026, under Article 226 of the Constitution. The court noted the government advocate's submission that the festival would be conducted per the government order and temple customs. The court recorded the assurance of compliance without deviation. The primary issue was whether directions were needed for festival safety per government guidelines. The ratio decidendi is that upon assurance of strict adherence to G.O.Ms.No.413 and customs, no further directions are required, but violations permit approaching the court. The petition was disposed with liberty to petitioner to seek remedy for any violation of the G.O.; no costs.
