O R D E R
The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to consider and allow the petitioner’s request for change of PG course from M.S. (Orthopaedics) to a non-clinical course such as Community Medicine, by considering the petitioner’s representation dated 15.04.2026.
2.Heard Mr. R. Rajeshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr. N. Ramesh Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
3.The petitioner was allotted M.S. (Orthopaedics) at Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai, through the counselling conducted by the second respondent (NEET PG–2025), and has joined the said course. Subsequently, on account of medical fitness issues, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 15.04.2026 seeking change of course to a non-clinical discipline such as Community Medicine.
