O R D E R
Heard Mr. S.I. Muthiah, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.
S.S. Madhavan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2.
2.The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to implement the order dated 04.08.2025 passed under Section 11 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
3.By the said order, the third respondent, who is the son of the petitioner, was directed to pay monthly maintenance of Rs.5,000/-. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the third respondent paid maintenance only for two months and has thereafter wilfully defaulted in complying with the order, thereby causing financial hardship and mental distress to the petitioner. Despite repeated representations, no effective steps have been taken by the respondents to enforce the said order.
