R.Santhi – Appellant
Versus
District Collector, Dharmapuri District, Dharmapuri – Respondent
Writ Petition

Advocates:
For the Appellants/Petitioners: Mr.D.Sairam Kumar
For the Respondents:Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, Government Advocate

Court directs revenue authorities to survey, subdivide land, hear objections, and issue patta if eligible within 12 weeks.

Headnote:The petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing survey and subdivision of land in Survey No.678/1C at Gujjarahalli Village, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District, measuring 50 ares, 1 acre, and issuance of separate patta for her half share of 25 ares 50 cents. The online application dated 28.06.2025 remains unconsidered. The court finds no prejudice to respondents in directing the process. The issue is whether the respondents should consider the representation, conduct survey, effect subdivision, and issue patta. The court observes that the application warrants consideration with due hearing of objections from neighbouring landowners and third parties. The third respondent shall complete survey, demarcation, and issue patta if eligible, within 12 weeks from receipt of the order.
