Thenmozhi, Advocate Crl.RC.No.1648 of 2022 (Criminal Revision Petition filed under Section 397 R/W 401 of Cr.P.C to call for the entire records in pursuant to the Criminal Appeal in C.A.No.31 of 2021, vide judgment dated 30.09.2022 on the file of the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge Vellore, Vellore District, confirming the judgement in S.T.C.No.10/2018 dated 10.03.2021 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate (FTC) Vellore, Vellore District and to set-aside the same.
C. Afsal Ahamed ... Petitioner/ Appellant/ Accused Vs Thangaraj ... Respondent/ Respondent/ Complainant This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat.
Both the parties are present. Mr.M. Sathish Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. E. Kannadasan, learned counsel for the respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The total cheque amount involved in this case is Rs.3,70,000/-. After due deliberation and consultation, both the parties have agreed to come to a mutual compromise for a sum of Rs.2,24,000/-. Thereby, the respondent herein agrees to receive a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh and Fifty Thousands only) by way of D.D.No.729091, dated 12.03.2026 of City Union Bank, Melvisharam Branch, Ranipet District, today, over and above the amount of Rs.74,000/- already deposited by the petitioner herein before the learned Judicial Magistrate (FTC) Vellore, Vellore District to the credit of S.T.C.No.10/2018 and the same may be permitted to withdraw with accrued interest by the respondent herein.
2. The Demand Draft (D.D.No.729091, dated 12.03.2026) produced by the petitioner herein has to be entrusted to the respondent/ complainant and the Registry is directed to get proper acknowledgement of the same.
3. This Criminal Revision Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
Consequently, connected criminal miscellaneous petitions, if any stand closed.

The full Court fee paid shall be refunded to the appellant in the manner provided under Section 69-A of the Tamil Nadu Court-Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1955 and the Court Fees Act, 1870 as provided for under sub Sec.1 of Section 21 r/w 25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
