ORDER
This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to modify the conditional order passed by learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.3424 of 2026 order dated 29.04.2026 that the petitioner shall deposit sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) before the learned II Metropolitan Magistrate at Chennai.
2. The petitioner was earlier granted bail by the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai vide order dated 29.04.2026 in Crl.M.P.No.3424 of 2026. The learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai imposed certain conditions on the petitioner while granting bail and in one of the condition that “the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- before the II Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai to the credit of Crime No.71 of 2026”.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since the petitioner is in the judicial custody his family is not in the financial condition to mobilize the funds. Hence, he prayed to modify the said condition.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.
5. Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Chennai in Crl.M.P.No.3424 of 2026, dated 29.04.2026 and the same is read as follows: “the petitioner is directed to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) before the learned II Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Chennai to the credit of Crime No.71/2026”. The other conditions imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.3424 of 2026, dated 29.04.2026, shall remain intact.
6. With the above modification, this Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
