ORDER
By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Challenging the order of rejection issued by the 1st respondent herein in Si.Pa.116/2026/B1 dated 12.03.2026, quash the same and consequently, direct the 1st respondent to issue the Legal Heir certificate to the petitioner in her name alone with regard to her deceased son named as Vijaya Kumar.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner got married to one K.A.Angamuthu, out of the wedlock, they have three sons namely Chandrasekar, Ravichandran, Vijayakumar (died) and Saroja. One of the sons, Vijayakumar died on 13.11.2025. The petitioner applied for legal heir certificate on 05.01.2026, however, the same was rejected vide order dated 22.01.2026 on the ground that the petitioner did not include the parents and the siblings of the deceased in the application and thereafter, the petitioner filed RTI and vide impugned order dated 12.03.2026, the Public Information Officer has furnished the information relating the rejection order of the petitioner's legal heirship application. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed. 4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that as per G.O.Ms.No.110, Revenue and Disaster Management, Revenue Administration Wing, RA-3(2) Section dated 13.03.2024, the petitioner ought to have included the father and the siblings of the deceased while applying the application, since, the petitioner failed to include the names of the father and siblings of the deceased, the impugned order came to be passed. Hence, seeks for dismissal of this writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may grant liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh application by including the name of the father and siblings of the deceased in terms of the G.O.Ms.No.110 dated 13.03.2024 and the respondents may be directed to consider the application within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
6. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.
7.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh application by including the name of the father and siblings of the deceased within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order and the respondents are directed to consider the application strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.110 dated 13.03.2024 and G.O.Ms.No.478 dated 29.09.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks thereafter.
8. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
