Court may direct public authorities to consider applications and representations within a reasonable time.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent herein to issue appropriate direction to the third respondent herein to sanction loan to the petitioner under PMEGP, by considering the petitioner’s online application dated 06.05.2023 (No. DITN236979- 11678170) and as per the recommendation of the second respondent in his letter dated 12.06.2023 and in the light of PMEGP score board dated 12.06.2023 in the matter and in the light of the representation dated 07.11.2023 and reminder dated 30.11.2023 of the petitioner and further to direct the fourth respondent to consider and take necessary action on the complaint dated 07.11.2023 and reminder dated

30.11.2023 of the petitioner, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made an application for loan under the Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and he made several representations in this regard, however till date, no order has been passed on the said application and hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned counsel for the third respondent submitted that the loan application of the petitioner will be considered by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law and sought time for the respondents to pass appropriate orders.

5. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the third respondent to consider the loan application of the petitioner dated 06.05.2023 and to dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
