ORDER
WMP(MD)No.9627 of 2026 filed to permit the petitioners to file a single writ petition is ordered.
2. The present writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to take necessary steps to issue fresh patta in the petitioners' individual names.
3. Originally, the survey field No.338/4b2 belongs to the petitioners' father Saravanakumar. During his life time, he has executed a registered will in Document No.14/1946 dated 26.09.1946. Thereafter, he died leaving behind the legal heirs namely, 1)Amirthavalli, 2)Gandhiyammal, 3)Sahayavalli, 4)Saraswathi, 5)Janaki, 6)Pothumani and 7)Pakyam. The patta was also standing in the name of Saravanakumar in No.8194. After his demise, his daughtes were enjoying the property jointly. Since the property ought to be divided among the siblings, the petitioners filed the partition suit in O.S.No. 259/2002 before the Additional District Munsif Court, Aruppukottai and the same was allowed.
