Directions to consider representation in revenue matters.

Order

This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.03.2026 and restore the name of the petitioner in the patta bearing No.1846 for lands comprised in Survey Nos.143/15D and bearing Patta No.1351 for land comprised in Survey No.143/8A in Kadathur Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri.

The petitioner is the absolute owner and is in possession and enjoyment of the subject properties situated at Kadathur Village, Pappireddipatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District, comprised in S.No.143/15D measuring 1639 Sq.Ft. (1.5 Are) bearing Patta No.1846 and S.No.143/8A measuring 5 cents bearing Patta No.1351. The said properties originally belonged to the petitioner's father, who acquired the same through registered Sale Deeds in the year 1966 and 1979. Subsequently, the petitioner's father executed a Will dated 23.03.1993 bequeathing the properties in favour of the petitioner, which came into effect upon his demise on 28.09.1995. The petitioner applied for computerised patta and accordingly, the same was granted in his favour on 05.02.2026. However, to his shock and surprise, his name was subsequently removed from the patta in the online records by the 4^th respondent, without issuing any notice, against which the petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.03.2026 to the 3^rdrespondent, which remains unconsidered. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and perused the materials.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for, this Court, without expressing anything on merits directs the 3^rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2026, after affording opportunity to the interested parties and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
