Court directs administrative authority to consider pending representation for compensation disbursement.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to pay the compensation amount to the petitioner in respect of his land situated in S.No.27/4B2, Vasanthapuram Village, Namakkal Taluk and District.

2. According to the petitioner, he owned 8400 sq.mts of land situated in S.No.27/4B, Vasanthapuram Village, Namakkal Taluk and District. A portion of the above said land with respect to S.No.27/4B2 was acquired for the purpose of formation of bypass road in the year 2017. The award has been passed by the Land Acquisition Officer-cum-District Revenue Officer, Namakkal, as early as 30.06.2021. Till date, the compensation amount has not been paid to the petitioner. It is also stated that the civil litigation pertaining to title dispute of the property culminated in favour of the petitioner as per the judgment and decree passed by this Court in S.A.No.293 of 2023. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondents on 08.04.2026 seeking disbursal of the compensation amount and the same has not been considered.

In the light of the facts narrated above, this Court, without expressing any opinion, is inclined to direct the 2^nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.04.2026 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
