O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd and 4th respondents to take appropriate action against the 6th to 9th respondents and allow the petitioner and his family members to participate in the temple festival proposed to be held on 19.05.2026 at “Parivara Theivanlin Thirukovil” (such as Arulmigu Kaliamman, Bhagavathiamman, Sri Lakshimi Vinayakar and others Gods” belonging to Hindu Vanniyakula Sathriya Sabha), Mettupatti, Dindigul as equally as others in the local people and temple “Karagam” must stop before the petitioner's house as like others, based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Counsel appearing for the sixth respondent, on instructions submitted that he is the erstwhile village head and no such festival is scheduled to be held at all.

3.Learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side], on instructions submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026, is pending with the respondents and they propose to conduct an enquiry.

4.Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the official respondents to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 30.04.2026 and pass appropriate orders after hearing the parties on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two [2] days from today [06.05.2026].

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
