ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed to to quash the impugned order dated 14.05.2026 passed by the second respondent wherein the request of the petitioner for conducting adal padal programme has been rejected on the apprehension of law and order problem.
2.The impugned order clearly reveals that it is passed based upon presumption that law and order problem is likely to rise. There is no concrete material before the respondent police to arrive at such a finding.
3.In view of the aforesaid facts, the impugned order is set aside and the writ petition stands allowed. There shall be a direction to the second respondent to grant permission and provide police protection for conducting the adal padal function. However, it is made clear that the function shall be completed before 10.00 pm. The police authorities are entitled to stop the function if they find that any obscene dances are being performed on the stage. No costs.
